This mountain was called 'Sumak' or 'Maebburi' because this mountain prevented overflowing water of Han river. In the years of King Yeongjo, this mountain was called 'Simhak mountain' as a crane ran away from the castle and was caught in this mountain.
Simhak Mountai(200m above the sea level) was located near Jayuro, and has two mountain passes (1~2 hours course). People can enjoy the forest bathing watching Jayuro, Han river, Gimpo and Gwansan peninsula. The sunset from the top of the mountain is excellent.
