New railway in south China province will benefit some 22 million people | CGTN
A 357-km Jiangmen-Zhanjiang railway has commenced operations in south China's Guangdong Province.

This new railway has shortened the travel time from Zhanjiang City of western Guangdong to Guangzhou City to only three hours compared to the previous eight. The line runs through four prefecture-level cities, benefiting some 22 million people along the route.

It not only makes transportation more convenient between the western Guangdong regions and Guangdong province’s economic center Guangzhou, but also creates a better connection between the Pearl River Delta and Beibu Gulf Economic Rim.
