- Taking Cirque showmanship and combining it with Light Group's nightlife expertise was a risky move, but it paid off.
Revolution at The Mirage was the first of many collaborations between the two Vegas giants, and is based upon Cirque's very own Beatles-based “LOVE” show, also in The Mirage.
The venue offers both a full-fledged nightclub, as well as a separate bar/lounge area, giving you options for exactly the kind of night you want to have.
Not just a bar with Beatles junk plastered all over, Revolution carries on the spirit of the band in a modern, subtle way. Expect lots of rounded, polished white surfaces, a shiny bar top and seating located inside the letters of the massive "REVOLUTION" sign (which faces the rest of the resort, announcing its presence to the world at large).
The bar hours are longer than the club's hours, so you can still stop by for a drink or two without hitting the club.
The nightclub in the back maintains a lot of that same look, but gets a bit darker with multicolored nightclub lighting as is the norm in Las Vegas. Lots of psychedelic columns prop up the seating, which is scattered about the venue and faces either the bar or dance floor areas.
It's a smaller venue compared to some of the megaclubs in town, but still feels plenty roomy when it's packed on the weekends.
VIP seating is located toward the sides of the DJ booth and the back, just past the bar. Even the tables are more fun than at your average nightclub, letting VIPs draw on the surface with their hands and interact with objects projecting onto the club's light-up columns.
See, Revolution has a lot of subtle Beatles elements, from the trippy video screens, to the "diamonds" in the sky...but it captures the band's best qualities by avoiding any direct theming and cheesiness. Revolution does its own thing, just like the Beatles did in their day and age.

- John, Paul, George and Ringo. As The Beatles, they changed the world. LOVE, Cirque du Soleil’s interpretation of their legacy, has changed entertainment.
Beyond tribute, this is a physical manifestation of their music and lyrics. Using the master tapes from Abbey Road Studios, Sir George Martin and his son Giles created the three-time Grammy-winning soundtrack. These songs, so well-known and yet reinvented, are brought to electric, exuberant life by some of the best aerialists, acrobats and dancers in the world.
The Beatles lent so much to the consciousness of our culture. We agree wholeheartedly with this—LOVE is all you need.

- With first-class accommodations and a slew of acclaimed chefs, The Palazzo is the perfect respite for those seeking a taste of the finer things in life. From a three-story Barneys New York to the Strip's only Lamborghini showroom, the resort is always striving to reach new heights in the hospitality industry.
As the largest LEED-certified building in the world, the resort is also committed to the environment. During the construction of The Palazzo, some 70 percent of waste materials were recycled, diverting nearly 42,000 tons from the landfill. Numerous green initiatives regarding recycling, energy, lighting, water, air quality and cleaning products are also in place here.
Combined with The Venetian and the Sands Expo and Convention Center, The Palazzo is among the largest hotel and convention complexes in the world. The two hotels are connected by The Shoppes at The Palazzo, an elegant, multilevel galleria with more than 50 stores, flowing water features and skylights (including a glass and decorative iron dome), and The Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian. Amenities at The Palazzo and The Venetian are interchangeable, and together the properties boast the most James Beard award-winning restaurants under one roof.
A cathedral ceiling majestically tops the casino, while a second 80-foot dome floods the lobby with natural light. With 139 types of games, as well as countless slot and video poker machines, the casino floor itself lacks the stale smell of cigarette smoke typically found in Las Vegas casinos. As a property certified by Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), smoking is off limits for the majority of The Palazzo -- including 50 percent of the casino floor.
The resort's 3,066 all-suite rooms start at 720 square feet and are decorated with a modern Italian style. They provide all the comforts of home along with the luxuries of a high-class hotel, and include sunken living rooms, remote-controlled draperies, multiple flat-screen TVs and Roman tubs. The Prestige Suites, located on the 23rd floor, offer enhanced VIP treatment with a champagne check-in and access to an exclusive lounge where a complimentary breakfast, hors d'oeuvres and cocktails are served.
Dining is inarguably second to none at The Palazzo with restaurants like celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck's CUT, an AAA Four Diamond Award-winning steakhouse. Chef Simon To prepares delicious, authentic Chinese cuisine at Zine Noodles Dim Sum, while the Carnaval-inspired SUSHISAMBA unites Brazilian flavors, Peruvian tastes and Japanese technique. Chef Mario Batali's Carnevino is for connoisseurs of aged beef, and chef Emeril Lagasse's Table 10, inspired by his flagship New Orleans restaurant, showcases bold Creole cooking. Grimaldi's, a New York City import, serves up its incomparable thin-crust pizza.
Adjacent to SUSHISAMBA is its sister venue, The Lounge at SUSHISAMBA, a vibrant boutique nightclub featuring interactive entertainment. Another mecca for nightlife and dining is the Mediterranean-inspired LAVO, a two-story venue with a restaurant downstairs and a club upstairs, where guests can smoke out of a hookah while lounging on fluffy pillows. The Act is a performance-based nightclub located inside The Shoppes at The Palazzo. Expect creative and unusual performances that will have everyone partying onstage!
For a more casual meal, enjoy light fare at Wolfgang Puck's seasonal restaurant, Solaro, located at the five-acre pool complex on the hotel's fourth floor. Also on the pool level near the entrance to the Canyon Ranch SpaClub, the Canyon Ranch Grill offers healthy options as well as a menu of organic liquor.
Those seeking sophistication and elegance on their Vegas vacation will find it here. The Palazzo is unparalleled in providing world-class dining, shopping and accommodations right in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip.

- Treasure Island on the Las Vegas Strip, known simply as TI, is aptly named because of its many hidden treasures. A paradise for adults, it includes some of the hippest hangouts in town, a tropical pool area with a party tub, a variety of restaurants and the first permanent Cirque du Soleil show in Vegas.
The hotel's exterior features a sleek marquee with the TI initials. Also outside, you can enjoy a sultry performance featuring the sexy Sirens of TI, complete with sizzling dance moves, dashing sword fights and fireworks.
One of Treasure Island's big features is Gilley's Saloon, Dance Hall & Bar-B-Q, which has something for everyone. The saloon portion offers bikini bull riding contests, multiple bars, a stage, a dance floor and a "big Texas" attitude. The restaurant, which fronts the Strip, features barbecue-style favorites including ribs, big burgers and pork sliders. There's also an outdoor patio where you can watch the Sirens of TI show.
The rowdy Señor Frog's bar and restaurant, a party staple in Mexico, adds to the nightlife scene now.
Visitors flock to Vegas to relax, play and eat well, and Treasure Island has met the challenge of accommodating even the most sophisticated tourist, most aggressive card shark and most selective diner.
The hotel's spacious guest rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows, allowing spectacular views of the Strip. They also boast the exclusive Elite Sensational pillow-top beds, flat-screen LCD TVs, small refrigerators, private safes and large soaking bathtubs.
The sprawling casino includes a small but stylish poker room, a race and sports book, several thousand slot and video poker machines as well as plenty of table games.
Phil's Italian Steakhouse celebrates the best of Italian and American cuisines. Kahunaville Tropical Restaurant gives diners the option of enjoying their meal while being entertained by flair bartenders. The Vietnamese-themed Pho is a restaurant within a restaurant, located in The Coffee Shop. A world-class selection of dishes is also available for breakfast, lunch, dinner and weekend champagne brunch in The Buffet at TI. And Little Richie's Chicago-Style Beef and Dogs (opening Dec. 11) is a hot dog stand situated near the poker room and sports book.
Included in Treasure Island's entertainment offerings is the visually stunning "Mystère" by Cirque du Soleil, now nearly through its second decade of highly acclaimed performances.
The pool features private cabanas and a party tub that fits 25 people. For some pampering, Oleksandra Spa & Salon offers luxurious treatments in a facility designed by a former Miss Universe contestant.
Perhaps you would like to make a memory that will last a lifetime? You can get married overlooking the Las Vegas Strip aboard the Sirens' ship, The Song, located in Sirens' Cove.
Topping it all off, the resort is conveniently located, offering a tram to the neighboring Mirage and a pedestrian bridge across Spring Mountain to the Fashion Show mall.
With the wealth of riches at Treasure Island, it's no wonder that once you've set sail with this crew, you'll never want to return to port again.

LAVO

[Night Club/Bar]
89109 Las Vegas Nevada
- The success that the people in charge of Tao nightclub found in their first three years in business made it clear they knew what they were doing. So when those same people started to plan Lavo, you had the feeling that it would be equally successful -- and it has been.
Two years later, Lavo has established itself as the perfect complement to Tao. While it is heavily influenced by a cultural theme much like its sister property and has a lounge and restaurant in addition to the nightclub, the comparisons between Lavo and Tao end there.
The beauty of Lavo's Moroccan bathhouse theme can be seen before you reach the actual club. After climbing the first set of stairs you are swept away to another world as you walk across a catwalk over the restaurant/lounge area where there are 16 sinks with brass faucets continuously flowing water. (Tip: The sinks are meant as decoration, not to wash your hands so don't bother looking for the soap when you put your hands in.)
Going up the last set of stairs you see one of the only two painted walls in the entire club. Both walls (the other is located on the back wall of the club) feature paintings of nude women similar to what might be seen in a bathhouse.
When you get to the top of the stairs you instantly gain a view of the entire club. You will see intricate tile work from the floor to the ceiling, leather walls and chandeliers that are similar to the ones found in the Moroccan royal family's house.
The walls are mostly black with the exception of several mirror-like tile displays that help balance the light in the room. The chandeliers in the back of the club give off an orange glow and the dome over the middle of the dance floor can emit a number of colors or graphic displays, giving a touch of technology to an otherwise classic theme.
The size of Lavo is small in comparison to Tao, but that is part of its appeal. Many patrons begin the night at the restaurant downstairs, then head over to the lounge or the patio area earlier in the night. And when the club opens, some people will start the party at Lavo before heading over to Tao or go to Tao first and come to Lavo.
Lavo does a great job of mixing things up too. The events and special appearances at the club make it a popular destination and are part of the reason why it is one of the few nightclubs on the Strip to be open six days a week. Lavo is also the spot where Joaquin Phoenix made his rap debut (see the horrendous display on Youtube).
If you can, order a bottle of Dom Perignon. The presentation of the champagne is epic: a man dressed in a Superman outfit is "flown" out to the table by a host of burly men to deliver the bottle while the movie's theme song plays.
Many clubs have tried to emulate the style of Lavo and Tao, but few have succeeded. The clubs have set the bar and until you have tried them, you can't say that you have truly experienced the best Vegas has to offer.

- You may not believe your eyes upon encountering a tropical oasis in the desert, but this hotel is no mirage -- it's The Mirage on the Las Vegas Strip. Timeless beauty, tropical surroundings and exceptional service make The Mirage one of the most beloved hotels in the city.
Guests who stay at The Mirage feel like they've escaped to the islands. Outside the hotel are beautiful waterfalls and The Mirage Volcano. Upon entering the iconic property, visitors hear the soothing sounds of more waterfalls, smell the exotic flora and can stand on a bridge under a 90-foot-tall glass atrium while taking in the tropical surroundings. You may be in The Mirage, but it feels more like Polynesia.
In the lobby, guests waiting to check in are entertained by the aquatic life in a 20,000-gallon saltwater aquarium behind the front desk. Nearly 1,000 forms of marine life, including sharks, stingrays, porcupine fish, eels, sea bass and puffer fish call this place home.
The hotel rooms are nicely appointed, while the beautifully landscaped pool area is the ideal place to spend afternoons. In the warmer months, guests can enjoy VIP service and topless sunbathing at the secluded Bare Pool Lounge. Nearby, the majestic wildcats -- tigers, lions and leopards -- and playful bottlenose dolphins in Siegfried & Roy's Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat feel right at home in their tropical environment.
True to its history as a pioneer in the gaming and hospitality industry, The Mirage's casino is large, easy to navigate and home to thousands of slot machines, dozens of table games, an enormous race and sports book and one of the city's most popular poker rooms. Contemporary glass sculptures by Dale Chihuly decorate the exclusive Baccarat Lounge and adjacent high-limit lounge.
Numerous restaurants -- including the delightful Carnegie Deli, the elegant Japonais, the innovative Cravings, the high-end Fin, the hip Stack and the spirited Samba Brazilian Steakhouse -- await hungry patrons. You can indulge in fine steak and exotic seafood at kokomo's (which will close in early 2013 to make way for a new steakhouse run by Tom Colicchio), creatively crafted hamburgers at BLT Burger and classic regional dishes of Italy at Onda Ristorante. Plus, eat to your heart's content at Cravings, a buffet featuring 11 live-action stations representing different culinary regions or cooking styles.
The Mirage spa boasts relaxing body treatments, while the salon and barbershop provide high-quality treatments for the tresses.
Entertainment is second-to-none at The Mirage. The Beatles LOVE by Cirque du Soleil causes quite a revolution nightly inside its custom-built theater with 360-degree seating. After the show, the Revolution Lounge and adjoining Abbey Road bar keep The Beatles vibe and music going strong.
Celebrity impressionist and ventriloquist Terry Fator is a big draw among visitors of all ages, thanks to the fun he has onstage with his puppets -- Walter T. Airdale, Emma Taylor and Winston the Impersonating Turtle. The Aces of Comedy series also hosts some of the biggest names in the funny business.
Plus, The Mirage recently unveiled it newest nightclub: the NYC import 1 OAK Las Vegas. Or head outdoors to Rhumbar, a casual cocktail and cigar lounge, to enjoy the cool mood of the Caribbean and amazing views of the Las Vegas Strip.
Rounding out the experience is plenty of shopping and more than 90,000 square feet of convention space. Guests can also easily hop on an air-conditioned tram for a free ride to the neighboring Treasure Island.
With its many offerings, The Mirage sets a high standard for itself and for every other luxury hotel in Vegas.

Having just celebrated their 20th anniversary, the band has performed some of the most celebrated classics of the past two decades. The group's 4 Grammy Awards are just the tip of the iceberg: throughout their over 20-year career, Boyz II Men have also won a whopping 9 American Music Awards, 9 Soul Train Awards, 3 Billboard Awards, and a 2011 MOBO Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music.
The trio holds the distinction of being the best-selling R&B group of all time, with an astounding 60 million albums sold. And the reason is abundantly clear: for the past two decades Boyz II Men have given fans a rich catalogue of hits filled with smooth harmonies and enduring themes. And for Boyz II Men the hits just keep on coming—the group continues to craft new albums and bring their legendary act to stages across the world.
Boyz II Men's past hits include: End of the Road, I'll Make Love to You, One Sweet Day, Motownphilly and many others. And their recent albums have earned them major critical acclaim as well. Most recently, Boyz II Men has marked their 20th anniversary by releasing a landmark album, fittingly titled Twenty. Twenty debuted at #20 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart, #4 on the Billboard R&B album chart, #10 on the Billboard Digital Album Chart, and placed #1 on the iTunes R&B Soul Album chart. Twenty's first single, "More Than You'll Ever Know" cracked into the top 15 on Urban AC charts.
Boyz II Men have won fans the world over with their soulful multi-octave sound and incredible vocals. Given the monumental success of their albums and the timeless quality of their vocals, it's easy to see why Boyz II Men remains the most popular R&B group of all time. Ask any successful pop or R&B superstar which artists have inspired them- chances are Boyz II Men will be spotlighted. From Justin Timberlake and Usher to Justin Bieber and Beyonce, the most successful stars in the industry look to Boyz II Men as their idols.
The group has its own charity called Boyz II Men House which lends support to individuals and organizations that focus on improving quality of life and helping to unlock human potential, while contributing to the health and vitality of those less fortunate.
Boyz II Men kicked off 2012 by being honored with their own star on the prestigious Hollywood Walk of Fame—and are wrapping up the year (quite literally) in style, with a viral holiday commercial for Old Navy. The commercial also features Johnny Mathis telling a story called "The Jordan Knight Before Christmas"- of course the commercial features a quick performance by Knight (of New Kids on the Block fame)- before the "Three Wise Boyz II Men" burst through the doors, infusing their classic harmonies with holiday spirit. The commercial became an overnight sensation, with over 500,000 YouTube views in the first week of its release.

- Dark, mysterious and alluring -- Tao Nightclub is all this and more.
Tao remains one of the hottest nightlife and dining spots in Las Vegas ever since opening in 2005 and shows no signs of slowing down, attracting celebrity guests, hot musical talent and crowds on a regular basis. Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night, there is more than likely a line of out the door stretching into the Venetian -- and for good reason. Luckily, it does move pretty quickly and smoothly and so you'll be in the club before you know it.
The first floor has several booths, a bar and cool Asian-inspired touches that give Tao its atmosphere. The mood is set by eclectic details like candles lit throughout the venue, a woman lounging in a tub of rose petals and a large Buddha statue (with smaller Buddhas also scattered throughout) by the dining room and lounge area.
It's a bit like a globetrotting adventure, if one of those could take place in its entirety in a nightclub.
Head up the stairs on the right side and you'll find yourself on the second floor, which is full of things to do as well. A bar (and more Buddhas) cap off one end of a hallway that feeds into the main room. Booths line the hallways leading between the different areas and each has different sounds being piped in, so there's always something playing that you can be into. Everything up here is dark, lush tones and 100 percent committed to Tao's exotic attitude.
If you want to hang back, these booths are close enough to the action and each of the bars without being up in the fray of the dance floor. That doesn't mean an impromptu dance floor might not suddenly form around you, but that pretty much goes with the territory in a nightclub.
Down the hall and past a bar to your left, the dance floor is sunken into the floor a bit and right up against the DJ booth, so you can get up close and personal with the talent and your 100 newest close friends.
When the weather's nice, the Tao Beach area operates as an outdoor extension to Tao, with its own bar and music as well.
Sounds like there's a lot going on, and there is. But everything is pulled off marvelously. Every aspect definitely feels consistently Tao-ish -- that is to say, cool, exotic and edgy.
You'll never run out of things to do or see here and it's apparent from the consistent lines outside that that rings true for everyone else, too.

You'll never run out of things to do or see here and it's apparent from the consistent lines outside that that rings true for everyone else, too.

- Boyz II Men remains one of the most truly iconic R&B groups in music history. The group redefined popular R&B and continues to create timeless hits that appeal to fans across all generations.
Their Decca label debut, Motown: A Journey Through Hitsville USA (Decca/Universal), on November 13, 2007 earned them two Grammy Nominations for "Best R&B Album" and "Best R&B Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals" (for the Stevie Wonder cover "Ribbons In The Sky") and sparked the release of Boyz II Men's first full-length live concert DVD, Motown: A Journey Through Hitsville USA – Live (Decca/Universal, released 12/9/07).
Most recently, Boyz II Men has marked their 20th anniversary by releasing a landmark album, fittingly titled Twenty. The album contains the group's first original material in nearly a decade as well as a dozen remasetered classic, career-defining hits.

LAVO

[Night Club/Bar]

Beyond tribute, this is a physical manifestation of their music and lyrics. These songs, so well-known and yet reinvented, are brought to electric, exuberant life by some of the best aerialists, acrobats and dancers in the world.

Boyz II Men's past hits include: End of the Road, I'll Make Love to You, One Sweet Day, Motownphilly and many others. And their recent albums have earned them major critical acclaim as well.

LAVO

[Night Club/Bar]
Las Vegas NV 89109
