## The Former Residence of Kim Seong-Su in Seoul

**Description:**

The former residence of Kim Seong-Su (1884-1950), also known as Inchon Kim Seong-Su, is located in Gyedong-gil, Jongno-gu, Seoul. Kim Seong-Su was a prominent Korean independence activist, educator, and politician during the early 20th century. He played a significant role in the Korean independence movement and served as the first Vice President of the Republic of Korea from 1948 to 1949.

The house was built in 1927 and is a traditional Korean hanok-style residence. It is a two-story wooden structure with a gabled roof and a courtyard. The house has been preserved in its original condition and features many traditional Korean architectural elements, such as ondol (heated floors) and daecheong (raised platforms).

The former residence of Kim Seong-Su is now a museum that is open to the public. The museum exhibits artifacts and documents related to Kim Seong-Su's life and work. Visitors can learn about his role in the Korean independence movement and his contributions to Korean education and politics.
